Warm bamboo utilizes different shapes and sizes of bamboo sticks. These sticks are heated to a specific temperature and can be used a variety of ways depending on the client’s pressure tolerance and problem areas.

This aids in the parasympathetic state, or your “rest and digest” mode. It allows your mind to slow down and eases the tension in your muscles.

While all this applies to those who enjoy deeper pressure, there are still more benefits. The use of bamboo allows the therapist to use leverage to go deeper if you desire more pressure. While the heat relaxes the muscle, the added pressure will be able to work out restrictions and trigger points in many of the soft tissues in your body. If stretching is also applied, the warm bamboo will be a great prep tool to prepare the muscle to lengthen. This will allow the stretch to be more effective long term.
